We partnered with Koshkonong Trails School as a part of our New Zealand mudsnail Dane county and driftless area outreach and monitoring program.

New Zealand mudsnails (Potamopyrgus antipodarum) are one of several invasive species that can easily hide in the treads of waders, being only 4-6 mm long. In an effort to combat their spread, Rock River Coalition enlisted the help of students and teachers at Koshkonong Trails School to build six boot brush stations in October of 2024. Several of these were installed in Vernon County fisheries and several others went in at critical Dane County stream site locations.
