Paddle the Rock in Voyageur Canoes

 

The Rock River Coalition will have the DNR 26 foot Voyageur canoes available for use during the Testing the Waters a Paddle and Probe Adventure during May 24 and May 25 events. These canoes hold up to 7 people plus the captain who steers the canoes.

 

We will launch from the Highway 14 boat launch on May 24 at 12:30pm with registration starting at noon. We will paddle up river to meet the Testing the Waters paddlers who will be putting in at Indianford County Park, before turning around and going 4 miles down to Traxler Park. We expect to end at about 3:00pm.

 

Eagle Creek Renewable is offering an optional stop about 200 yards downstream of Traxler Park at their Janesville Project.

 

On Wednesday May 25 we will launch the Voyageur Canoes from Happy Hollow County Park at noon with registration at11:30am. We will paddle with the Testing the Waters team down to Riverside Park in Beloit with an expected end time of 3:30pm.

 

Space is limited, to a total of 10 spaces for individuals 12 and older and two spaces for children ages 3-11.

The cost for RRC members is $10/person a maximum of $25, for non-RRC members the cost is $30 with a maximum of $50. This includes a one year membership valued at $25.
