Aquatic Invasive Species Snapshot Day

Aquatic Invasive Species Snapshot Day is a statewide, one-day, search for aquatic invasive species (AIS). Volunteers all over the state will spread out to help assess their communities for AIS. Every year there are new detections made! Last year over 150 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to monitor at more than 200 sites. Volunteers help make this event an effective, coordinated effort!

Virtual Volunteer Training
A virtual volunteer training will take place on August 12th for volunteers to learn the Snapshot Day protocols. The training will be recorded and made available for those unable to attend live. Learn more and sign up for the training here.
Coordinated in partnership by UW-Madison Division of Extension, UW-Stevens Point Extension Lakes, River Alliance of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
