Grassland 2.0 is an organization associated with UW-Madison that reimagines agricultural landscapes as profitable farms that cultivate healthy people; thriving and diverse communities; clean water; flood reduction; stable climate; and biodiversity.
They propose intensively managed grazing as a way to return our soils to a healthier state.
GrassWorks and Grazing Ambassadors:
Managed grazing is part of the sustainable agriculture movement in the upper Midwest. GrassWorks provides leadership and education to farmers and consumers for the advancement of managed grass-based agriculture. GrassWorks link farmers with the resources they need to become successful graziers.
The Grazing Ambassadors Project connects Wisconsin farmers with non-farming communities in order to develop broad literacy about the practice and benefits of managed grazing.
